The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: It’s time to play the music

TUESDAY

Seems we are getting a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer with Avengers: Age Of Ultron. The trailer will premiere on Star Wars Celebration tho, which runs from April 16th to 19th. Because all shall love Disney and despair!

OK, here are the Avengers: Age Of Ultron IMAX posters that fans can vote to be available when the sequel reaches IMAX theaters. Yep, just one sadly. Here are my favourites:

Marvel announced Luke Cage‘s showrunner: Cheo Hodari Coker, who will also write the first two episodes of the series which will premiere in 2016 in Netflix.

You know Stephen Amell, Arrow‘s main character and great supporter of DC TV universe? Dude just landed the role of kick-ass Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, which may have the not-so-great subtitle of “Half Shelf” as in “Heroes In A…”

Now, we have casting news for Suicide Squad! Onle legit and one rumor~ First, the legit one! Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje goes from Marvel villain to DC villain and will play Killer Croc! As for the rumor, apparently Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood, could play Steve Trevor as a cameo, a character who should play a much larger role in the future Wonder Woman movie, since he’s the human who taugh her our mortal ways~

WEDNESDAY

April’s Fool! Can’t trust anyone! But I still manage to find two or three news that weren’t lies~

First, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson officially signed up for a role in Disney’s Moana! He’s going to voice legendary demi-god Maui, and he’s going to sing! Which ain’t bad since his singer voice while not espectacular is quite decent! That’s a lot of exclamation marks but I am just that excited. The film will premiere on November 23, 2016.

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson talked about Ben Affleck’s Batman costume in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and how putting it on ain’t exactly a job for one man~ Good thing that Alfred is there, I guess!

It does involve multiple costumers. [It’s] not the sort of thing that I could just sit in Ben’s trailer and he gets into it himself. It’s a six-handed operation.

Also, the one April’s Fool joke everybody was happy about! Ryan Reynolds was interviewed by Mario Lopez to talk about Deadpool and confirm the PG-13 rating the will have. NOT! Deadpool will totally be R-rated and the internet rejoiced. The R-rated thing was confirmed by Ryan Reynolds on his twitter later in the day. Also, we were promised “expertly lit French Unicorn sex”, he better deliver!
