The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Comicbook TV and back again~

MONDAY

After all the creepy (and some cheesy) teasers, here is the official trailer of American Horror Story: Freak Show~

OMG Peggy Carter will be in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 premiere, “Shadows”! The full synopsis with cast members totally says it! And it’s the same episode we will first see Lucy (F)Lawless too! I don’t think they will be together though, since Hayley Atwell’s scenes will be probably be flashbacks about the time S.H.I.E.L.D. was getting founded.

In new old news… did you know The Avengers could have been R rated just because of the little scene when Loki impales Coulson from behind with his scepter? *snort* Sorry! Here’s what Kevin Feige said:

When we submitted The Avengers, the first couple cuts of it came back from the MPAA rated R. That happened twice. So we went back and had to make adjustments. […] Well, whenever you impale somebody from their back and the blade comes out their chest, there are issues.

Remember Dredd? That 2012 that was so much better than Sylvester Stallone’s version (which is a guilty pleasure of mine forever and ever), but didn’t make bank and made us fans sad? Well, there was online campaigning for a sequel with much support by Karl Urban. And now Urban himself talked a bit of how it’s been doing at Chicago Comic-Con.

It’s more likely that we’ll do the Origins story, with Dredd trekking through the Cursed Earth to find the first Chief Judge Fargo.

TUESDAY

The Russo brothers promised us that Captain America 3 will be as game chanding as Captain America: The Winter Soldier! Also, Kevin Feige already has the title of the movie in his brain~

The big thing we knew we had to deal with in Captain America 2 was the fall of Hydra. Similarly there is a very, very big idea at the center of Captain America 3. But how we get there is all up to us. And I think why Marvel has been so successful is because it’s been such a clear plan, that everything is interconnected and they’re building emotional capital with each movie that you can then trade off of in the next film.

Yep. Japan is at it again! Not content to morph Avengers and Digimon (the third season), now we have Guardians of the Galaxy in their Marvel Disk Wars series. And the Guardians look exactly as you would expect them to look. I can almost accept everybody’s looks… except for Rocket Raccoon. He’s too tanuki-like for my tastes. Sorry, Japan. I will pass on this one too. Maybe one day you will make a Marvel anime that doesn’t make me wanna punch things.

Gotham has been deemed the “most promising” new show of the fall TV season by Television Critics Association! This is the second year in a row the poll result goes to a superhero inspired TV show. Last year it was Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which was kind of a mixed bag. Slow start but get momentum and a much better plot and story after Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Yep, remember the news about a Supergirl TV show? Greg Berlanti (executive producer of Arrow and The Flash) says it’s totally going to happen!

We’re just starting to work on it. We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so. I’ll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment.

Orlando Bloom is in talks to be in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Well, after he reprised his Legolas role, I guess not it’s time to go back to Will Turner? And why is this movie getting made again? But most importantly, will it have my favourite pirate, Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa? Anyway, here’s what Orlando said at Oz Comic-Con:

There have certainly been some discussions about it and I’m open to it. That whole experience working with Johnny and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me.
