The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: When Thor’s away, Loki will play

THURSDAY

Tom Hiddleston got interviewed by Digital Spy and he talked about his character Loki in Thor: The Dark World, his role in “Done in 60 seconds”, how he would consider a part in Star Wars if it were offered… and sucks up to Kathleen Kennedy, who worked with him in War Horse, and is also the executive producer for the new Star Wars movies. Smart boy!

Also, here’s the first issue of the Hiddlestoned Magazine (which can also be downloaded), and damn I love it. Yes, this is a fanzine of 128 pages about anything vaguely related to Hiddles.

So, Pinocchio is getting a new writer, which I only care about because this is the project where we could get RDJ and Tim Burton working together for the first time! Damn, I just hope it’s not another Dark Shadows! I’m trusting your writing skills, Jane Goldman!

Tarantino talks about retirement and why he chose Jamie Foxx out of six actors he talked to for the titular role for Django Unchained.

Talking about Django Unchained, there is a new TV spot and character banners. Samuel L. Jackson and Leonard DiCaprio seem to have fun~

FRIDAY

Star Trek Into Darkness will premiere its first nine minutes before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey… will we finally know who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing? Also, there’s gonna be a trailer!

BTW, Chris Pine continues to reveal his man-crush on Benedict Cumberbatch~

I think, also, I know that he did Frankenstein. I never got a chance to see it, but his sense of body and voice… he has great command of his instrument or whatever the hell you want to call it. He’s formidable as an actor and as a character in the story. He’s formidable. He’s a great actor.

Ok, fine, I’ll give Journey Into Mystery with Lady Sif a chance, even if there’s no Kid Loki anymore. The preview won me over with its good art and passing grade of the Bechdel Test.

Thor and Malekith fight it out in these behind-the-scenes pictures of Thor: The Dark World. Although I miss the loss of the pretty, pretty hair, I admit the Dark Elves armor looks good without the ridiculous face plate.

Doctor Who prequel to the Christmas episode and trailer of said Christmas episode for the Children in Need charity event on BBC. Oh, this is important: new to Who? Everything you need to know about the show.

The opening minutes of Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo, which will premiere today at midnight in Japan. You cannot see me, but I am flailing like Kermit.

Here’s another The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey TV spot, which I loved because it made me realize I must be some sort of Hobbit/Dwarf hybrid. “I don’t like green food” and “Where’s the meat?”, indeed! And really, the internet is mocking my poor ass. They even have offers!

And that’s it for the week! Before I go, here are two videos for you:

1. Madonna + Psy live at Madison Square Garden, performing a mashup of “Gangnam Style” and “Give It To Me”.

2. A Disney (and Barney’s New York) fashion show with Disney characters on the runway, surrounded by fashion celebrities… and damn, Goofy!

  1. I can see Tom Hiddleston playing a Jedi. It would be entertaining, though, if he was a Rebel Alliance/New Republic pilot with an American farmboy accent.

  2. Camiele says:

    O.O EVANGELION!!!!!!
