The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: So much news, so little time
Welcome back to another week of The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl. This week has had lots of geeky news. Some awesome, some interesting and some upsetting. BTW, The Avengers (yes, I’ll still talk about it) premiered yesterday in the US, and there will be spoiler talk. So be warned :P
Here we go!
Let’s start with the new Prometheus Trailer… it looks so awesome and spoilery! I couldn’t take the stupid grin off my face. I just couldn’t.
So my boys (yes, they are mine now) were at the Tribeca Film Festival Closing Night looking pretty and promoting The Avengers. And yes, the movie is making tons of money all over the world, and the US had to wait for it. I will keep doing my part by watching it again… my boys have to eat!
And talking about my boys, apparently even the professionals (as in getting paid to get this sh*t done) have fallen from Hiddles’ charms. The author of the article praises him for being stylish, talented, funny, charming… and tall.
Continuing on Tom “The Polyglot” Hiddleston’s Adventures, I discovered this sorta old (it is from War Horse) interview where he quotes Greek classics… in Greek. Benedict Cumberbatch looks appropietly impressed.
On other news, there are 9 clips from Dark Shadows on YouTube now. I really want to see this movie despite the loud complaints from fans of the original show who say it’s too campy. Well, I do like campy.
And then Peter Jackson tells those complaining about The Hobbit footage at the CinemaCon to STFU. Ok, he didn’t say that, but I know he wanted too. Whatever, I’ll still watch the hell out of that movie. And besides, nobody bitched about the content of the footage, just the technology used. And I trust Peter Jackson.
The final notch of my Sunday night was a friend showing me Madonna’s Girl Gone Wild video, which made me very happy. The main reason being that many male friends go on and on about how sexy a woman looks doing choreography in high heels… and now I have further proof they can be sexy too :D
