Baar Baar Dekho Trailer with English Subtitles

Exceptions will be made for assistant director Nitya Mehra’s (Life of Pi, The Namesake) directorial debut Baar Baar Dekho, which stars famous for their non-acting chops— Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, who still can’t catch a break. Though in life I’m a fatalist, in movies the glass is always full~ I actually was hoping Katrina could pull off her role in Fitoor… no such luck. I’m hoping Baar Baar Dekho can prove us all wrong.

The film is a love story that happens in flashbacks and flash-forwards as Malhotra’s characters seems to be skipping key moments of his life with Kaif, only to return to fix it all. With the release of the Motion Poster, the remote control interface gave me Adam Sandler’s Click vibes, though other users pointed at About Time as a more recent example. However, the time travelling seems a lot more incidental in the story like in The Time Traveler’s Wife, but ends up being serendipitous.

What- I like the time-travel romance genre. LOL

The film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma, which tends to give some content from time to time, alongside Excel Entertainment’s Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani… so it can’t be THAT bad.

Actress Sarika, Ram Kapoor, actress Sayani Gupta (Margarita with a Straw) and actor Taaha Shah also star in the movie.

Baar Baar Dekho is set to open on September 9, so promotion is in full swing~ You can already check out the Jukebox on the Zee Music channel.
