Asian Chairshot to Record at Electrical Audio

Korean indie rockers Asian Chairshot are making news this week by being the first Korean band to record at the well known Electrical Audio studios in Chicago. The studio is owned by Steve Albini, perhaps best known as the man behind the soundboard during the recording of Nirvana’s In Utero album. Hundreds of talented artists have recorded at Electrical Audio and now Asian Chairshot are joining the ranks. The grungy, acoustic sound that this studio is known for will be a perfect fit for the band, their guttural psychedelic rock will fit right in.

The recording session are also due to be produced by Jeff Schroeder of Smashing Pumpkins fame, who spent a few months in Korea in 2013 and met Asian Chairshot while he was there. I look forward to hearing more from this pairing and can’t wait to see what new material they come up with. Everything they have released to this point has been superb.
