Kick-Ass 2 Trailer

The first trailer for Kick-Ass 2 has made its way online after premiering on MTV.

The sequel to 2010’s Kick-Ass sees the return of  the unlikely teen superhero Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz). Kick-Ass’ insane bravery inspired the apperances of a new wave of superheroes, including the born-again ex-mobster Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey) who teams up with him and Hit-Girl. This time, they are going to square off against Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who is now reborn as “The Motherfucker” and he’s thirsty for revenge.

Kick-Ass 2 is directed by Jeff Wadlow,who is also in charge of the screenplay. Matthew Vaughn, who directed the first film, steps down and takes over the executive producer role along with Brad Pitt. The cast includes Lyndsy Fonseca, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Morris Chestnut, Yancy Butler, Clark Duke, Lindy Booth, Ken Jeong and Augustus Prew (replacing Evan Peters as Todd).

The film premieres on August 16, 2013.
