The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: One more time~

TUESDAY

So more news about the probable Independence Day sequel [1]. Yup. Dean Devlin, writer/producer alongside Roland Emmerich, talks about it recently:

We resisted doing the sequel for years because we still wanted to honour the first one.

Devlin should have resisted more. Anyway, he thinks they “got it” now. A worthy sequel! We’ll see. Probably in 3D.

Here’s The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Go listen and cry from the awesome. Also hey, new TV spot! And a new IMAX poster!

Marvel vs. Capcom: The Complete Works, a nearly 200-page art book that compiles nearly two decades of video game collaboration… excuse me while I hyperventilate… OMG.

The day ended with Hiddles, with these awesome interview AND gallery about the The Hollow Crown and his character Henry V! :D

WEDNESDAY

To warm up the engines to Comic-Con, Total Film showed a feature about what they are looking forward… and I agree on every single one of them!

First clip of the TDKR, featuring Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and it’s about a worn-down Commissioner Gordon chatting with idealistic police officer John Blake.

In Marvel news, here’s the first look of the contents of the “Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase One: Avengers Assembled“, which will be available on September 25th. It even has pretty original art. They are trying so hard to take my hard -earned money from me.

And now there’s gonna be a new (thanfully animated) Dragon Ball movie and Akira Toriyama himself is involved on it [1]. First Sailor Moon, and now Dragon Ball? I just might cry.

Here are the awesome/cute toys, ok, action figures from The Hobbit, that will be available at Comic-Con.

Oh, Bilbo doll, I mean, Bilbo action figure~ You only make me think about when Star Trek 2 toys arrive, all the Sherlock fangirls will get a Martin Freeman toy and a Benedict Cumberbatch toy. Let’s think about that.
