The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: One more time~

MONDAY

So apparently Benny won’t be KHAAAAAAAAAN! on Star Trek 2. Karl Urban let info slip during a SFX interview, mostly about his upcoming Dredd movie:

[Benedict Cumberbatch]’s awesome, he’s a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary.

And now Doctor McCoy’s character will be recast in Star Trek 3; but hey, Trekkies who hate whitewashing can breathe again!

Unless Karl is trolling us.

You see, producer Robert Orci said before that Gary Mitchell won’t be in Star Trek sequel. But Orci has also trolled before… and now I’m confused…

KHAAAAAAAAAAN! *shakes fist*

Talking about Benedict Cumberbatch, there was also news about his role in The Simpsons [1]. Our Posh Alien Prince will play both the British Prime Minister and a snake-like character in an episode titled “Love Is A Many-Splintered Thing”. That sounds quite awesome!

Then I saw this brilliant Sherlock parody made by the Dawson Bros.

Suddenly, there was this most awesome image from The Hobbit [1]! It’s called “The Scroll” and shows 10 different scenes of the first half of J.R.R. Tolkien’s book.

Hiddles keeps delivering the goods on Twitter, with this retweet:

For all of you who have been watching the BBC Shakespeare series here’s THE edit of my photo’s at charlie-gray.com and select FILM SETS

We did. And we were proporly awed.

Michael Fassbender will star and produce a film adaptation of beloved video game Assassin’s Creed. This has franchise potential if all ends up well. Good luck, Fassy!

Meanwhile, MTV brought 5 reasons why having Fassy in Assassin’s Creed is awesome. TL;DR version: he brings credibility, it gets to be a practically Indie Movie, he gets to act/produce, and he could mean they get a better cast. Also, the video game has lots of canon stories to chose from.

Finally, I learned there’s a new Mick Jagger biography in the making and they talk about the well-known secret of the affair Mick and David Bowie had back in the day. I might consider buying this book. It’s sexier than Fifty Shades of Gray without even trying. Why? It has quotes like this from Ava Cherry, a backup singer who lived with the Bowies for a time:

Mick and David were really sexually obsessed with each other. Even though I was in bed with them many times, I ended up just watching them have sex.

That’s some fangirl’s fantasy right there. So this deserves this very appropriate music video:
