The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: AKA Awesome

TUESDAY

Check out this huge Jurassic Park LEGO set that has scenes of all four movies! It has the entrance to Jurassic Park, the T-Rex eating a goat from the first movie, the double trailer cliffhanger and the escape from the velociraptors in The Lost World, the aviary from Jurassic Park III, the mosasaurus feeding show and the gyrosphere.

Vultura Magazine released it’s Most Valuable Stars of 2015 list. And the most valuable one is Jennifer Lawrence! For the second year in a row! But a lot of my favs are in the list, like RDJ (and other Avengers/Marvel actors), Dwayne Johnson, Melissa McCarthy and Benedict Cumberbatch! So, what’s the criteria to make it to the list? Well, it takes into consideration domestic and foreign box-office yield, social-media buzz, critical respect, and likability scores (determined by a poll).

Sir Ian McKellen had a chat with IMDB for Mr. Holmes, and answered some fan questions on Twitter, where he answered Sir Patrick Stewart wouldn’t make a better Gandalf, that it’s ridiculous that he’s been overlooked as a potential James Bond, and he namedrops both Hiddles and The Batch as suggestion if they make a biopic of his life~

Here’s the first official look of Hayley Atwell as the titular character in Agent Carter Season 2. And she looks great, because duh. Also, I want those glasses.

Karen Gillan said there will be more about Nebula and Gamora’s relationship in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and she seems quite chuffed with that!

I think what I’m really excited about it delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think that we’re going to see a little bit more of that, and it’s going to be a bit more fleshed out.

OMG! Disney has planned for at least one new Star Wars movie every year until people get tired of it! Yes, Star Wars in secula seculorum! Also, check this cool art of many franchises on the Star Wars universe~

The company intends to put out a new Star Wars movie every year for as long as people will buy tickets. Let me put it another way: If everything works out for Disney, and if you are (like me) old enough to have been conscious for the first Star Wars film, you will probably not live to see the last one. It’s the forever franchise.

WEDNESDAY

Andy Serkis talked about his Star Wars character, Supreme Leader Snoke, and what kind of name is that? Dude is apparently “very scarred and disfigured”. So it’s that literally or figuratively? Serkis also talked about his first day at work!

My first day was basically standing on a 25-foot podium doing Lord Snoke without the faintest idea what he looked like… or in fact who he was! I was very high up, totally on my own, away from everybody else, but acting with them.

Here’s an exclusive first clip of David Tennant and Catherine Tate’s return to Doctor Who. And I don’t know what they are talking about (Wench costumes? Planet of the Boys?), but sounds awesome and want to hear the whole thing! So kudos to both and to Big Finish audio dramas!

We are getting another horror series! This time it’s a sumer camp horror for ABC family, and it comes from the hands of the Once Upon a Time creators. Yay? It’s called Dead of Summer, and this is what it’s about:

Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer, and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Clearwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses – and first kills.

Deadpool gets a Christmas-themed standee. Yes, it’s in 3D, and the lucky ones that get one on their theathers will be able to sit on Santa Deadpool’s lap.
