TVXQ – Something MV

You know what my initial reaction to this was? Finally! They got away from that dreadful robotic electro dance pop they’d been doing. I mean, it’s not like I expect much from SM Entertainment other than that one catchy song that sneaks up on you when you least expect it or want it. I don’t recall ever liking one full SM album, and that’s when I had began buying single tracks.

DBSK — sorry, I still can’t get used to calling them TVXQ — had sort of taken a backseat to all the other Korean music I had been keeping track of, and they finally seem to be joining (at least with this track) the ranks of idols that have been doing swing-y Kpop. The track’s pretty good, content lyric aside, but I really liked the jazz dance break.

I’ve already given up trying to find director information from SM. And it’s the new year, so give me a break.

The single for Something will be available on January 6th.

I still believe download releases should be timed with video releases.
