When I sat down to pin down my highlights of this year, I was pretty sure it was going to be Asian all over the board. I surprised myself with the amount of non-Asian music I’ve heard this year. Great thanks goes out to Spotify, all of YAM’s music associates and Swedish radio – they keep in the loop of what is going on in the western parts of the world.
I don’t even want to think how the hell I managed to listen to so much music. I find it outstanding that I even had the time – I felt that I didn’t have enough of it. I am still late with some reviews! Am I super woman or do I really have time-bending powers? Lazy is more like it.
First off with the sexiest honorable mention ever:
2PM – REPUBLIC OF 2PM
Wowza was I a happy fangirl when this album came out. I am really happy with what 2PM is doing in Japan. They are not only re-releasing their Korean songs translated, but they are doing new material. Sexy material.
Too bad their first Japanese album didn’t cut it for this list, but this song, this music video, the name of this album… sexiest highlight of 2011.

Damn, the only song I can recognize is the 2NE1 one, and that’s only because I have a friend who is a fan of the group (and keeps dancing this particular song all the freaking time).

I am confused. You put Republic of 2PM on the list, say it’s good and sexy and all that….but then you say that “their first Japanese album didn’t cut it for this list”……what? Republic of 2PM IS their first Japanese album and it looks like it’s on the list so this is really confusing. Are you sure that you didn’t just want to mention I’m Your Man, their second single?

@Dani, It’s not on the list. The list contains 10 entries. I added 2PM as an honorable mention. Cus as much as I love the album, well to me it wasn’t good enough to make my list.
I am just being biased and using it as an excuse to again share that overly sexy 2PM mv….
