Greetings, my geeks! This week was the premiere of Parade’s End, and for that I have some Benedict Cumberbatch news, who’s trying to clean-up his act after last week’s PR nightmare. But I digress, since there’s also geekiness coming from BBC series and comic book movies!!
OMG Samuel L. Jackson in Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake! Sadly, it will be a small part… which is just like all other roles he has had lately.
The actor will play the man who is being tortured by the hero (Brolin) in a key revenge scene.
Oh no! Not the dude who got all his teeth removed! Oh well.
Anyway, here’s an article about the sex scenes and naked times in Parade’s End. The drama apparently even starts with some illicit affair. Here’s to hoping Benedict Cumberbatch won’t manage to keep his clothes on during the whole series.
BTW, Benedict is kinda worried about his crazy fans:
I worry for them, not for me.
Ok, worried for them~ He also urges them to come closer and ask if they want a picture, and not hiding like corwardly lions from afar.
Fifty Shades of Grey finally got knocked down from first place on Amazon’s Best Sellers list by Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia. Thank you, geeks!
Damn, the trailer for the new World of Warcraft expasion, Mist of Pandaria, is so cool:
Don’t care if you have Kung Fu Panda flashbacks, this is kick-ass!
So there will be a He-Man movie remake, and Dolph Lundgren, who played He-Man in the 80s movie, has some casting suggestions: Chris Hemsworth or Channing Tatum. I can’t believe I am writing this, but I’d rather Tatum did that one. Yup, Chris needs to stay away from that kind of film if he doesn’t wanna be typecast. Sad though, I will so enjoy him in a loincloth.
In actual casting news, there are possible actresses in the race for lead girl (probably Sharon Carter) in Captain America: The Winter Soldier: Anna Kendrick, Felicity Jones and Imogen Poots. Damn, I wish it were Hayley Atwell in a blond wig. I loved her Peggy. Oh well~
Nelly Furtado dancing what has become my favorite K-pop song, Gangnam Style…
I’m actually glad this earworm is all over the place… and that PSY didn’t have to sing in English to become famous (and so memetic) in the US of A~
