Pacific Rim: Uprising NYCC Trailer
The first trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising debuted at NYCC, but the rest of us mortals managed to watch it on YouTube and other social networks~
It’s obviously not directed by Guillermo del Toro (now producing!), but still looks fun. And while “We were born into a world at war” doesn’t have the same ring as “Today, we are canceling the apocalypse!”, John Boyega seems able to lead the ensemble cast as Jake Pentecost. Also, we are shown some Jaeger vs. Jaeger as well as the expected Jaeger vs. Kaiju fighting. Is it training, a betrayal, something they did with the Jaegers to pass time while they were unaware the Kaijy were coming back?
Pacific Rim: Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight, and it stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Cailee Spaeny, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona, and Charlie Day. Pacific Rim: Uprising premieres on March 23, 2018.
