Koreeda’s Like Father, Like Son Teaser Trailer

There’s our first brief look at Koreeda’s latest film, which will be competing this week at Cannes Film Festival — it opens on May 19th there — starring heartthrob Masaharu Fukuyama (who is currently starring on the Japanese television drama Galileo 2, a follow-up to Galileo) as a businessman driven by money who discovers his biological son was switched after birth, having to make the decision of whether to choose between the boy he raised as his son and his real son.

The cast is rounded up by Machiko Ono, Yoko Maki — both of them starred on last season’s Saikou no Rikon — and Lily Franky.

Koreeda’s Like Father, Like Son (そして父になる) will open in Japan in October 5th, 2013.
