Sausage Party Trailer

Just in case you only read titles, this is not a pornography film. You might think of “food porn”, though.

The trailer for Sony Pictures Imageworks’ Sausage Party, the first R-rated computer animation movie, has been released online.

The film stars Seth Rogen (whom also serves as one of the film’s screenwriters) as Frank, a sausage who leads a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.

The cast is rounded up with Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, David Krumholtz, Anders Holm, Salma Hayek, Edward Norton and Nick Kroll.

Sausage Party is co-directed by Greg Tiernan (Thomas & Friends) and Conrad Vernon (Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted) with the screenplay co-written by Ariel Shaffir, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and Rogen himself. The film is set to premiere in the United States on August 12, 2016.
