f(x) – Rum Pum Pum Pum

This is how Kpop gets you.

At first, you hate it or dismiss it because it’s merely pop music. Sure, other people work in the pop industry as well, and are probably considered “more popular” because of the way things are.

It takes about a year or a bit more until Kpop gets you to say “it’s still bad music, but they’re kinda likable people.” After that, it’s really all over because you can’t be mean with likable people, and you watch a clip here and over there because they’re funny — and CELEBRITIES ARE JUST LIKE US! That’s the mentality, right?

A random clip on YouTube may turn into following an actual variety show online, and then you start one-click buying because they’re likable hardworking people who train HOURS a day, and when they cancel an event for “exhaustion” you really believe it. So you buy another single for support, watch another clip. Before you know it, you’re already watching a comeback single and say to yourself “this isn’t half bad.

That’s where I am at with f(x) right now. LOL

They’ve only been gone since Electric Shock [MV], which isn’t an awfully long time — they also made Anna Kendrick an Asian Sweetheart [1]. However, f(x) is already announcing a comeback with the promotion of Rum Pum Pum Pum ~~~ Oh, Kpop. Oh, SM Entertainment.

Their new studio album is called Pink Tape and will be released next week.

I probably won’t like the full album, but it’s likely I will download Rum Pum Pum Pum. LOL
