Godzilla (2014)

2014’s Godzilla is definitely better and more interesting to watch than its 1998 film adaptation. But I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news: this latest entry in the Godzilla franchise wasn’t all that great to me thanks to some things that frustrated my viewing.

Enough Said

Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ stellar performance and great chemistry with James Gandolfini should have made her an Academy Award nominee along with Gandolfini, but either voters forgot about them or maybe there’s a stigma against tv-made actors. Either way, Enough Said is easily one of the best films of 2013.

Wolf of Wall Street, The

Martin Scorsese’s black comedy adaptation of Jordan Belfort’s biography is currently my favorite film of the decade in spite of its content and multiple amusing (yet fucked up) douchetastic moments.
