Yeo with By Myself for Album ‘Recovery Channel’

by Mari Ortega.

Australian musician and producer Yeo is releasing a brand new single titled By Myself, a collaboration with Charlie Lim, a Singaporean singer-songwriter and producer who has performed in major festivals in Asia.

Yeo’s chameleonic style began with his musical training in classical piano, as well as his studies in music technology over a decade ago, turning him into Australia’s best producers constantly in search of different sounds. This year will now see the release of Recovery Channel, an album about his experience of trying to find a place to belong and prove his own humanity, that makes sense with the fact that he’s inspired by people who build things from the bottom and support those around them at the same time.

By Myself is the third single, written and produced by Yeo and featuring Charlie Lim, who met each other years ago. The song is described as an “R&B-tinged duet with mellow bass-driven tones and a gentle bouncing rhythm;” which features a nice and chilling beat with vocals that matches the distinct sounds, but approaches themes of conflicts, and what we can call inner demons with two characters reaching out after finding themselves in a dark place. The kind of song that is cathartic, and a way to express the desire of becoming a better person.

Recovery Channel also features The Comments [YT] and Restless [YT]. You can already get the songs on Bandcamp, Spotify and iTunes.

You can follow all of Yeo’s activities on his official website SnacksWithYeo.com, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
