The latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film adaptation should have been retitled as “April O’Neil” because she’s the one that gets the most amount of screentime and focus as well as being highly important to the Turtles’ origins.
Remakes of well-loved movies are rarely greeted with wild enthusiasm. There is something to be said for an updated take on a classic though.

The first Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl edition of 2014 is as low in news as the last edition of 2013. But the news themselves have been great! Specially because Sherlock series 3 premiered… and we have info about Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray!
I gotta admit, I had to work extra hard to make the categories fit with the films this year.
Elysium paints our dystopian world in the year 2154 — obviously overpopulated while the rich 1% are able to live in a massive pristine habitable space station known as Elysium where life is pretty perfect, at the expense of the rest who still live in Earth ridden with diseases, poverty and the whole shebang.

This week things are moving in DC movies thanks to Man of Steel, but, as you know, I am much more of a Marvel girl, so there were a couple of news about their movies that surprised me.
