Koukou Kyoushi is about a high school teacher who is dying of an inoperable brain tumor. Then one night he meets Hina. They end up in his apartment, even though nothing happens. The next day, she discovers he is her new high school teacher.
Honokaa Boy tells the story of a boy who ends up living in the small Hawaiian city of Honokaa after he mysteriously falls in love with the place during a failed trip with his girlfriend. There, he meets a bunch of very likable yet quirky people, who end up having an impact on his life.

Whenever I read of someone discovering Yu Aoi in films, they often mention how they can never get enough of her afterward. I’ve learned to call this phenomenon the “hit-you-in-the-face-like-a-meteor” factor. It happened to me, and it keeps happening to others.

Generally speaking, the trilogy of stories that is the movie Tokyo! could have been much shorter and would have been more successful as 10 or 15-minute shorts rather than a single movie.
Kaiten TE-BURU wa Mutsukashii is a 2007 photobook by Japanese actress/model Yu Aoi, with photographs by Ivy Chen. The book details Aoi’s and Chen’s visit to Taipei (Taiwan) as they go on a full-on Foodie trip.
