Oh my God, we’re back again! This was perhaps the most difficult list I had to create. 2019 was truly an iconic year in music!
These are some of my favorite new-to-me films watched throughout 2019.
This year I bested myself. From the 384 movies that I saw, I’ll make my customary list of favorite films discoveries from year 2014 downward.
Despite the lack of full albums and minis that I listened to over the past year, my current iTunes list of chosen songs this year has a whopping +90 tracks, so yeah. It’s been a difficult task to try to reduce my list by nearly half, so there will definitely be a lot of cheating on this list.
The music taste of the whole YAM Magazine team varies enormously, and we do tend to be a lot more enthusiastic towards pop music— we’re looking at you, Kpop. However, some of us got together to talk about what Metal or Rock bands we were into lately.
Though the years seem to take away more and more of my energy and ability to write, I still want to share the new music I encountered in 2017. Whether you want a new dance rhythm or something to sing along to, or just want to forget life and become sound, I hope you find something new to like!
Romantic comedies are some of the staff’s weakness; often maligned with the tag of “chick flicks,” but nothing beats the fluttery feeling of watching a good rom-com. So we took a look at some of our favorite recent (2010-onward) samples from the genre.
Happy new year, everyone! Here’s to a 2018 with more writing and more movies. Looking back at my movie-watching last year, I don’t think I watched too many films from the West, so this list seems incredibly unbalanced.
