This week we have some news that came after BAFTAs and a bit of interesting casting news for geeky movies.

This week has been plentiful, with superhero movies info, new video games, lots of Cumberbatch and, of course, the Olympics closing ceremony with the Spice Girls and my fav Monthy Python song!
The event of the week is the beginning of the Shanghai International Film Festival, starting on June 16th and ending the 24th, showcasing a broad variety of films… including A LOT of Japanese films in its different programs.
Welcome back to another week of The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl. This week has had lots of geeky news. Some awesome, some interesting and some upsetting.
