2019 ended the decade with a vast range of fresh music; from protest anthems to fierce tracks from rappers like Lil Simz and Rico Nasty, to pop gems and oddities like, and even a breathtaking new arrangement for Mothra’s theme.
Though the years seem to take away more and more of my energy and ability to write, I still want to share the new music I encountered in 2017. Whether you want a new dance rhythm or something to sing along to, or just want to forget life and become sound, I hope you find something new to like!
Continuing with my traditional End of the Year lists— following the recent publication of my Music Highlights; you’ll see -as it is already customary- a lot of crossover picks. After all, good albums usually have some good tracks.
It’s been a daunting task to make my music lists this 2017. So without further ado~ these are my Top20 favorite albums this year~~~
Residente presents Desencuentro, a Franco-Spanish duet that features French entertainer Soko. The clip features Edgar Ramirez and Charlotte Le Bon in a disastrous serendipitous meeting at a picturesque French-styled cafe.

After a painstaking process, I finally compiled my list of the Top 25 Albums of 2014.
From strident Latin American rap to chill pop, jazz takes on classical works to unrepentant disco, along with the Utopia soundtrack (once again), songs of all sorts of styles stood out to me from the past year.
