Zhang Yimou’s Homecoming Trailer with English Subtitles

After a rather long-ish wait, in which Zhang Yimou was involved in a spat with the Chinese government for having too many kids [1], he is back with a new film titled Homecoming (归来), following his rather successful (with the public) The Flowers of War. In Homecoming, he reunites with old-time muse (the fabulous) Gong Li and Daoming Chen.

In what seems a full-on drama, we follow the life of a female writer during the Cultural Revolution who is forced into a marriage, until her husband escapes to America. More drama ensues.

Why wouldn’t you want to watch it with SUCH pretty teasing posters [1][2].

Homecoming will apparently be also released on IMAX’s dual 4K laser projection system by May 27th this year.
