Tsukiji Wonderland Trailer with English Subtitles

In November 2016, the famous Tsukiji Fish Market (築地市場), which has been located in central Tokyo since 1935, will be relocated to Toyosu in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

Tsukiji Wonderland (築地ワンダーランド) follows the passion of the people that work in the market and the importance of the essence of Japanese traditional cuisine throughout the seasons, as the documentary was filmed over 16 months.

The film, directed by Naotaro Endo, also features everyone’s favorite Sushi master, Jiro.

Tsukiji Wonderland was featured in the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), and is set to open in Japan on October 15th, with a preview at Togeki in Tsukiji on October 1st.
