Titli (2014) Trailer with English Subtitles

The much awaited Yash Raj Films foray into non-commercial cinema alongside Dibakar Banerjee Productions is here. Titli is set to open this week at Cannes Film Festival under the Un Certain Regard section.

Written and directed by Kanu Behl (LSD: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha), the film follows Titli (Shashank Arora), the youngest member of a car-jacking brotherhood, who is desperately looking to get out of the family business. When they manage to get him married to Neelu (Shivani Raghuvanshi), Titli finds an unlikely ally in his escape to freedom.

The film stars Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial, Lalit Behl, newcomer Shashank Arora and others.

The film opens on May 20th in Cannes, and is not to be confused with the 2002 Bengali film by Rituparno Ghosh starring Aparna Sen and Konkona Sen Sharma.
