The Master (2012) Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master — one of the 15 films we look forward to the most — has gone online.

While the film’s premise deals with the relationship between the head of a new religion and his right-hand man, the teaser trailer doesn’t hint at said premise. Instead, we get to see a tension-filled conversation between military personnel and Joaquin Phoenix’s character.

The cast is rounded out with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Laura Dern, Lena Endre, Rami Malek, and Jesse Plemons.

The Master is set to premiere on October 12, 2012.
