Shunji Iwai’s Rip Van Winkle no Hanayome Teaser Trailer

Japanese filmmaker Shunji Iwai just announced the release of his latest film titled Rip Van Winkle no Hanayome (リップヴァンウィンクルの花嫁), which roughly translates to Rip Van Winkle’s Bride. The film, which will be released on March 26th in Japan, was written by Iwai and features actress Haru Kuroki, who was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actress last year for Yamada Yoji’s The Little House (小さいおうち).

The actress was also briefly featured on Iwai’s animated film The Case of Hana & Alice.

The cast is rounded up by actor Gou Ayano and singer/actress Cocco, who starred in Kotoko back in 2010.
