S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning Telugu Trailer / Hindi with English Subtitles

I am awesome with post titles.

Jenna knows about my misadventures with the Telugu film industry, having only ever warmed up to S.S. Rajamouli’s Magadheera and Eega, epic action VFX-ridden fantasies — Rajamouli’s latest, the two-parter Baahubali (బాహుబలి) doesn’t seem to disappoint. It’s lauded as the costliest Indian production EVER, at an estimated $40M USD, and it looks it. Epic eye-candy galore!

Bahubali was the second of the hundred sons of the founder of Jainism (ironically, a non-violent religion), who fought a battle against his elder brother that would’ve made him Emperor of the World, but decided to give it all away to become a monk.

The film was apparently shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, English and French (I don’t know about the last two), but here’s the Telugu trailer that has popped up without subtitles~

The Hindi version comes with English Subtitles at the Dharma channel, but Hindi audio seems sketchy to me… if it was shot in Hindi anyway. But it also seems to have the better digital transfer.

The film stars Prabhas as the title character, alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sudeep, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser, Adivi Sesh and Prabhakar.

Baahubali: The Beginning is set for release on July 10th, 2015 in India and major Desi locations.

Hi.. Good intro to the movie.. one quick correction though, this movie is based on fantasy and is in no way related to real life Bahubali (Monk). But I am sure it is going to be amazing :) only because it’s from S.S Rajamouli.

When it looks good, it looks good. I hope the Teugu audio makes its way to VOD quickly, otherwise I won’t be able to enjoy this film until it hits Bluray.
