Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters Trailer

A trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters — a continuation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel — has gone online.

The film follows siblings Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) and takes place 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident. They have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.

The cast includes Peter Stormare, Famke Janssen, Zoe Bell, and Thomas Mann. Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) directs the film while Will Ferrell serves as an executive producer.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters was originally scheduled for a March 2, 2012 release. However, Paramount Pictures pushed the film’s release date to January 13, 2013.

  1. This doesn’t look good, but then again Dead Snow moved from boring to brilliant in its second half. Gemma looks in fantastic command of her role, though. I’m wondering what role Ingrid Bolso Berdal will play. I’ve become a fan of hers after watching Cold Prey (Fritt vilt) and she made a brief but memorable appearance as Angua in a Discworld movie.

I actually like this because it looks bad-awesome. Like a Van Helsing that gets the joke~
Don’t know about you but I do like movies that know what they are and don’t take themselves seriously.
