Daawat-e-Ishq Trailer with English Subtitles

YRF is the SM Entertainment of my Bollywood-watching. Seriously, their newer stuff (post 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) is like crack- you know it’s probably bad that you’re consuming all that sugar, but all the colors, the gloss and the music. I can’t help it.

The only thing they’re missing is subtitles at the time of trailer-posting. Get it, YRF? Get on it ASAP without having to upload an extra video, just slap that subtitle track on your original video.

Daawat-e-Ishq is directed by Habib Faisal, who previously directed Parineeti Chopra in Ishaqzaade. In here, we follow a Hyderabadi girl nicknamed Gullu (Chopra) who is disillusioned by her dowry-seeking prospect material, until she meets Taru (Aditya Roy Kapoor), a cook from Lucknow that can charm anyone with his flavors.

I actually had to read the synopsis for that, because the trailer is pure sugar and spice, and my Hindi is rubbish. I’m tagging this as “food” in the meantime, until I make sure all the flavorful adjectives used in the trailer are not just for show. xD

The rest of the cast is rounded up by the one an only Anupam Kher, who’s played “Dad” to like three generations of heroes and heroines. LOL

Daawat-e-Isq is set to open on September 5th this year.
