Amma Asante’s A United Kingdom Trailer

The first trailer to Amma Asante’s follow-up to Belle is out. Titled A United Kingdom, it’s based on the true-life romance between the man who would become the first president of Botswana, Seretse Khama (David Oyelowo), and his white English wife, Ruth Williams (Rosamund Pike), in the late 1940s.

The film also stars Jack Davenport, Tom Felton, Terry Pheto, Vusi Kunene and Jack Lowden.

A United Kingdom will premiere at this year’s edition of the Toronto Film Festival, with a release in Australia on November 10th and the UK on November 25th.

It goes as a great double feature with Jeff Nichols’ Loving [Trailer].
