Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Trailer

Here’s the first trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, based on the 2010 novel of the same name written by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) and produced by Tim Burton, the story for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter centers around the president’s quest to rid the world of vampires, presented as the real conflict behind the Civil War. Benjamin Walker stars as Abraham Lincoln while Rufus Sewell tackles the role of Adam, the vampire leader and the story’s chief antagonist.

The cast is rounded out with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Jimmi Simpson, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie and Robin McLeavy.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is set to premiere on June 22, 2012.

    I’m excited for this! It looks like great action fun, and the cast seems to suit the characters from the source novel. The author of the original book helped on the screenplay, and there’s an interview somewhere where he explained certain changes he decided upon to make the story more cinematic.

      I’m mildly interested in this film – the trailer reminds me of Wanted a little bit. Seems like it could go either way. But the premise of having a president as a vampire slayer sounds interesting.

    This trailer looks much better than I thought it would. I had a fear that the film was going to be super campy. While I wish Honest Abe was chopping up zombies, I think I will be giving this film a look see when it is realeased.
