Waa Wei – You Lovely Bastard

Waa Wei finally released the music video for You Lovely Bastard (還是要相信愛情啊混蛋們, with the literal translation of “still want to believe in love, you bastards“), the title track of her most recent full-length studio album [1].

The music video is simple — it made me think of Three Words (三個字) [MV] — and was also shot by (if my Chinese reading didn’t fail me) Lai Ying Yu (賴映伃), for whom I could only find credits in this short film titled THEMe (他她) and the Grass Jelly MV for Momo Wu’s Live for Now (就現在) Pepsi video.

Damn, I think my Chinese reading has gotten better xD Anyway~ here’s the clip

I really like the song and the MV, and I never realized the English title was You Lovely Bastard. =D

You never know with Asian releases. Japanese and Korean songs that never get an official English name end up with tons of different iterations xD except for Shiina Ringo who decides to title some of her songs with French titles. Some Taiwanese artist release no-English title songs on YouTube, but show one on the album backs. Waa’s albums (I found) do that.
