Vintage – Trees

Vintage (Винтаж) is a Russian pop group that was formed in 2006 by singer Anna Pletneva (Анна Плетнева) and musician Alexei Romanov (Алексей Романов), alongside Svetlana Ivanova (Светлана Иванова), who joined the group in 2008 replacing founding member Mia (Мия).

They debuted in 2007 with their pop rock album Criminal Love, which was received with mixed reviews from critics who pegged the group as a bubblegum pop act, though Vintage is sometimes described as t.A.T.u without the provocations. In 2009, they took a surprising detour with their second album, SEX, which was often compared with Madonna’s Erotica.

Their latest single Trees (Деревья) is the fourth cut from their upcoming third album Anya (Анечка), which will be released on October 4th. The music video for Trees was shot in Kiev by Sergei Tkachenko (Сергей Ткаченко) and has been described as a mix of Madonna’s Frozen [MV] with Kylie Minogue’s All the Lovers [MV].

There’s a YinYueTai version available.
