Toro Y Moi – Never Matter

So everyone knows that I’m sort of in love with Toro Y Moi. Well, his latest single Never Matter from his album Anything In Return has just sealed the deal in more ways than you can imagine. Shot guerrilla style with an old school video recorder, we see a young girl decide to spread her equally effervescent love for Chaz Bundick by bringing a boombox, some old-school earphones, and taping passersby as they get into the groove however they want to while listening to the song. What happens at the end may be one of the most adorable things I’ve ever seen in a music video.

Director: Steve Daniels
Girl: Molly McNutt
Production Assistance: Heather Bauer and Spencer Rabon.

You can get Toro Y Moi’s Anything In Return on iTunes and at Amazon (as both a CD and an MP3, but if you’d like to kick it old school, grab the vinyl).

As unexpected as my path was to loving all things weird, more unexpected is my ability to get attention for writing about the stuff.

@Camiele, I mean, the videotaping of him and the heavy breathing…

@Julyssa, She was excited he got the gift… I mean, I guess most people wouldn’t see that. But I mean, she did the ding-dong ditch… she had to get away quickly so he didn’t see where his awesome gift came from. S’why she was breathing so hard… or at least that’s how I see it *pouts*
