The Offspring – Dividing By Zero + Slim Pickens Does The Right Thing And Rides The Bomb To Hell

Right after I posted my review of The Offspring’s Smash, I took a quick glance at the band’s Facebook page.

I really want to smash (no pun intented) Google for not showing me this latest Offspring video. But then again, I type “music video” and what appears, appears. The same goes when I search for film trailers in lazy fashion.

When I reviewed Offspring’s Days Go By, I really wished for Slim Pickens Does the Right Thing and Rides the Bomb to Hell to be promoted harder as a single. Just a few days ago, The Offspring launched a cool-looking animated music video for the final two tracks of Days Go By, which also includes Dividing By Zero. Both songs fit well together and deserve a chance at recognition, especially Slim Pickens.

Directed by Anthony Scheperd, the video takes us into the mind of an intergalactic fighter pilot who has obviously seen too much. The action-packed clip features plenty of explosions and action with the pilot doing his best to survive the day. Meanwhile, the latter portion of the clip finds our hero being held captive, but perhaps having a shot at redemption.

The Offspring are currently on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 1994 breakout, Smash, but they’re also incorporating other favorites into their sets as well. See their current dates here.
