Sigur Ros – Seraph

Dash Shaw and John Cameron Mitchell team up with Sigur Rós to release Seraph, the ninth short film — it’s not a song from the Valtari album — from Sigur Rós’s Valtari Mystery Film Experiment.

The character seen in Seraph is from Shell Game, an animated film Mitchell is producing with Shaw. Seraph portrays themes of bullying, religion and a cycle of self-hatred, while showing a character’s development from insecure youth into a self-harming adult who gets into a violent altercation while in prison.

Seraph includes parts from previously released Valtari songs Rembihnútur [MV] and Ekki múkk [MV]. However, Valtari (song) has yet to be used in the VMFE series.
