Red Hot Chili Peppers – Brendan’s Death Song

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have released their fifth single, Brendan’s Death Song, dedicated to longtime RHCP friend Brendan Mullen, who passed away October 2009, right around the time the band began rehearsals for their album I’m With You.

Fans voted the song as one of the Top10 songs of 2011 in Rolling Stone Magazine’s Top 10 Reader’s Poll of 2011, despite not having been promoted as a single until now.

The music video was directed by Marc Klasfeld in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 2012. Fans were invited to be part of the video by sending in photos and video for consideration.

I’m really pleased that this song managed to become a single.

When I read that BDS was considered as the fifth single, I didn’t knew there was a video for “Did I Let You Know” despite the song being made a single thanks to Brazilian fans (DILYK sounds Brazilian-friendly).

@Rodrigo, they made it a single… but apparently it’s a Brazil-only single. xD So it’s not part of the RHCP YT channel, but it’s part of Warner Brazil’s channel.
