Rammstein – Mein Land (NSFW)

Check out the video for Rammstein’s Mein Land (My Land), their recent single which will be part of their greatest hits album, Made in Germany 1995-2011.

Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the music video was filmed at Sycamore Beach in Malibu, California. Mein Land is without a doubt inspired by the beach culture of the 60’s and performances from The Beach Boys. The video also parodies Baywatch. The final minute of the video takes place in 2012 with the band playing in flames and the girls fighting around.

Great video from a visual standpoint thanks to Åkerlund. Lyrics-wise, Mein Land sounds simple — not many words are used. But taking a look at its lyrics, it’s related to the immigration topic, specifically about USA’s point of view — satirical, I guess. But the final paragraph, before the song goes into the chorus until it ends, is sung from a higher being’s POV.

Eine Stimme aus dem Licht (A voice from the light)
Fällt den Himmel vom Gesicht (Falls from the sky’s face)
Reisst den Horizont entzwei (Tears the horizon in two)
Wohin gehst du, hier ist nichts mehr frei (Wherever you go, there’s nothing free)
Das ist mein Land! (This is my land!)

Made in Germany 1995-2011 is set to be released on December 6, 2011.

    Seems like the site is on a roll of NSFW stuff hahaha. And you’re getting good at posting music videos. xD

    I find it extremely hilarious that the first related posts to this item is Britney Spears. xD

      @amy, Lol, 3 NSFW videos on the site. Hooray!

      I found it funny too at first. Then I noticed that we haven’t dwelved into metal much on YAM. But I liked this video.

        @Rodrigo, maybe we should have a NSFW tag. LOL even though the plugin makes sure all NSFW posts get related. xD

        The video works wonders, coz when you mute it the MV looks like it’s a completely different genre. And then BAM! It’s metal playing. xD

          @amy, Haha, maybe.

          Those final seconds when we switch back into typical Rammstein display can only be pictured with their sounds. Everything else could be reminiscent of Beach Boys and other artists.
