P!nk – Try

This is the most emotionally strong music video in Pink’s career. Of course, she didn’t work with Dave Meyers, instead giving the reigns of this baby to Floria Sigismondi, who — without surprises, really — delivers a poignant story of two opposing forces going against each other in a beautiful contemporary choreography by The Golden Boyz.

I have to admit, the style of the choreography (in mood and strength) reminded me a lot more of Mia Michaels’ “drug addiction” choreography for Sara Bareilles’ Gravity [1], than anything that The Golden Boyz have done for anyone shown on their reel. But kudos to them for this, I could only ever wish for a dance version only of the music video…

… then again, I’ve been spoiled by Kpop, people tell me.

Try is the second single from Pink’s latest album The Truth About Love.
