MBLAQ – It’s War
Didn’t I call it? I so did call it back when I reviewed MBLAQ’s minalbum Y. I said back then that there was something lurking in the background of the MBLAQ sound. I was sure they had it in them to be even more awesome. Then, they came out with BLAQ STYLE and I was proven right. But that wasn’t all.
With last year’s release, MONA LISA, MBLAQ took it to a whole different level. There was accordion, there were Spanish influences, there were better vocals. They stood out in a Kpop scene where everyone was beginning to sound the same/there was a lack of quality.
Now the boys are back with their new mini-album, 100% Ver. — it’s more, well, I need to listen to it a few more times before I can make up my mind about it. But so far so good.
Today MBLAQ released the MV to their title track It’s War (전쟁이야).
I adore the music video for the acting (Joon Lee, you amazing man you!), the style, the dancing, the editing. Still having issues with what MBLAQ is wearing, but I doubt that’s going to improve soon. Also, the song is really good. But what the hell is going on in this music video? I am so confused. It looks pretty, but it doesn’t make sense at all. But then again, there are very few times that Kpop makes sense at all xD.
major public editor post.
What is this post? No korean on titles or URLs, and this post needs its own image (not our logo) and its own Excerpt.
@yam magazine, I put the logo temporarily cus there is no oficial cover for the album out just yet. WIll change it once I find it, the rest I shall fix now!
@Julyssa, you should probably screencap the video or something then.
@amy, Or just wait until a proper cover comes out, seeing as I will be reviewing the mini as well :P
