Jolin Tsai – The Great Artist

I wasn’t going to post this video because I’m not a very big Jolin Tsai fan, but that slo-mo shot at the end had me cackling. Plus, Taiwanese director Muh Chen always does okay in my book.

It’s not very often that I get to say, “Well, that Jolin Tsai new song ain’t that bad,” and this is one of those times. Of course, very much like some of those Kpop songs, it’s got a huge team of European music producers behind… but, you know, sometimes people get together for projects and it works.

So Jolin Tsai has released this music video for her song The Great Artist (大藝術家), the first single from her upcoming 12th album (you read that right!) titled MUSE, which will be released in mid-September. Tsai hasn’t been releasing much since her last album back in 2010, and has just been making most of her headlines due to her love life, but whatever~ such is the life of a Pop Princess [1].

I remember reading that she’s a hard worker, described as a cactus being able to grow against the adversities. I can’t really complain about that.
