Green Day – Kill The DJ
Over the weekend, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool did a video [1] apologizing for cancelling Green Day’s September 2 show in Bologna, Italy due to Billie Joe Armstrong’s hospitalization from an undisclosed sickness. Just recently, the band unleashed the music video for Kill The DJ, the second single from their upcoming album ¡Uno!, out on September 25, 2012.
The clip begins in black and white with the band riding their motorcycles across the desert, searching for the nearest club to party. Eventually, they arrive at a sloppy dance party, complete with ravers in kandi bracelets and corsets. The party goers get covered in blood by the end of the video, as Billie finishes the song with, “Someone kill the DJ, shoot the fucking DJ! Voices in my head are saying ‘shoot that fucker down!'”.
Kill The DJ was directed by Samuel Bayer, who previously directed the band’s single for Oh Love [MV].
Wow… the concept of the album sounds worse and worse hahaha.
