Coley – I Get Around

New artist alert! Coley is the first addition Revel Music Group — a label he co-owns with legendary producer Joe “The Butcher” Nicolo, his son Tyler Nicolo, and Coley himself that does the job of getting brilliant acts signed. And that’s exactly what Coley is, a drop of brilliance that we haven’t seen since the emergence of another lyrical prodigy who goes by the moniker Slim Shady.

I Get Around is the first single from the talented youngster, a song sampling the popular Beach Boys tune of the same name. It’s a simple video, really. Directed by Dave Patten and Coley himself, it follows our effervescent emcee around town as he goes from female to female, spreading his charm — and his 90s-era cell phone — real thin.

The MV’s not exactly safe for work, with some questionable picket signs and what some might consider not exactly appropriate for a work environment… you’ve been warned.

You can actually download the debut track free here. Also, check out his Facebook, Twitter, and official website to say you were one of the first to witness this wicked emcee in action.

Watch out for this cat. He’s truly a marvel and a hell of a lot of fun. Keeps it real and fresh and makes me happy to be in the business of introducing the world to new, raw talent. He’s got all the power and skill of our mercurial Eminem, but with more of a snicker than a sneer, and an added bit of crazy that I just eat up whenever it comes around me.

As unexpected as my path was to loving all things weird, more unexpected is my ability to get attention for writing about the stuff.
