Cee Lo Green – Cry Baby
Here’s the fifth single from Cee Lo Green’s album The Lady Killer.
Cee Lo Green is a busy man lately. Between coaching on The Voice, playing at Lollapalooza, singing on the Footloose soundtrack, set to sing at WWE SummerSlam, breaking a huge M&M’s piñata, the guy had no time to star in the Cry Baby music video.
The star of the video is Jaleel White, of all people. Yes, the guy who played Steve Urkel on Family Matters and provided the voice of Sonic The Hedgehog stars as Cee Lo Green in Cry Baby, a song dealing with the end of a relationship — the lead female is played by Tanya Chisholm from Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush. The music video is set in the 50s, thanks to the outfits worn by the dancers and that neighborhood set looks pretty similar to the one seen in Everybody Hates Chris as well as the video for Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Hump de Bump [MV]. White blends in well in the video and does pretty good lip-synching.
The director of Cry Baby is Mickey Finnegan, who has previously worked with LMFAO, Soulja Boy and the Nike sports brand. Check his work here.
MV director info? xD
Anyway, I like the video (threw me back to Lee Hyori’s U Go Girl at the beginning xD) but you know I’m game for all the dancing on the street thing.
Who would’ve thought, though! Urkel gets to be an idol, sync dance and all. LOL
Lol u have been #KpopIncepted !!! mwuahahah
@Julili, tell me about it.
@amy, Just added the info for the director of the MV.
I’m surprised they used Jaleel White. The last time I think I saw him was on Big Fat Liar, lol. Video would have been priceless if they used the actress that played Laura on Family Matters for the lead female.
@Rodrigo, oh yeah – throw back there.
I think the last time I saw White was on that show he used to have… can’t even think of the name LOL
@amy, Grown Ups?
@rodrigo, possibly
damn, even the still of the video reminds of U Go Girl. Kpop has ruined me LOL
