Britney Spears – Hold it Against Me

Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, Hold it Against Me is the first single for Britney Spears’ seventh studio album titled Femme Fatale, which will be out on March 25, 2011.

The choreography featured in the video was done by Brian Friedman, who also did choreography for videos such as Spears’ I’m a Slave 4 U, and *N SYNC’s Pop.

Someone is going crazy with the editing cuts and making the choreography pretty dull.

What do you think of Britney?

What do you think of this new video?

What do you think is going on with Åkerlund and the crazy cuts?

    woah, all those cuts made it really hard to watch this.
    I’m not feeling the song, at all… the lyrics are oki I guess but I dunno, feels like it could have been done different.

    Lol, I kept thinking “man does BritBrit look like a robot as she dances”.

    I see that Jonas is going back to some of his roots but too much stuff was happening here!

      @Julili, I find it hard to believe that this is the same guy that did the choreography for I’m a Slave 4 U… and that Britney ever did the dancing in that MV.

      And it’s been like this for a while… all her MV singles from Circus, even in the Circus MV itself, she dances for 3 or 4 secs before there’s a cut, and it often cuts above the waist. It just… makes me sad.

        @amy,
        I bet the choreography is tight but we can’t see it…..

        It so obvious that she doesn’t have the stamina of before. Or maybe she doesn’t care?

    This is a good song to dance to in the club, with the bass turned high and you can’t hear the lyrics. Only then will this ‘song’ be acceptable. The video was all over the place, I didn’t know where to focus my eyes at. The cuts were horrible I don’t know what the video was supposed to be about. I thought Music Videos were to tell us a story. Anyway, she looks good for having two kids.

    Song is okay at best for clubbing standards.

    Video is mostly overhyped and forgettable IMO.

    […] – sonically harder than Katy B, less operatic than, say, Britney Spears’ Hold It Against Me [MV] (GREAT track, don’t argue with me). Siberia isn’t your hot cocoa album, but it’s great […]
