Beyoncé – Formation (Dirty)

Beyonce slayed over the weekend with her Superbowl performance alongside Bruno Mars and Coldplay, presenting her most recent track Formation, which had just been released a day prior to the event. The unapologetic lyrics focus on her haters, who had previously accused her (and many others) of being Illuminati; those who have criticized her daughter’s hair and mocked Jay-Z; her heritage, her professional and monetary success, and sexuality.

The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas, and has run in a bit of controversy by featuring footage from short docu That B.E.A.T [Vimeo] by Abteen Bagheri, who states that permission of usage wasn not given. even though licenses were apparently paid to a production company.
