Alicia Keys – In Common

After 4 years since the release of her fifth album Girl On Fire, as well as giving birth to a second child, Alicia Keys returns and releases music video for her new single, titled In Common. It is very different from the R&B sound one has been used to from Keys.

The black-and-white music video was directed by Pierre Debusschere and shows Keys and other people dancing and moving together.

In regards to the song’s content, Keys stated the following.

“This video is about celebrating our individuality, and how in the brilliance of our uniqueness, the magic of it all is at the core, we are all the same. We want the same things. We all want to experience love, the freedom to be our truest selves, to love whomever we want and to be accepted and celebrated for all of our nuances and so-called imperfections that make us, us.”

In Common is part of Key’s yet-to-be-titled sixth studio album, which is set for a release sometime during 2016. She will perform the song live at the UEFA Champions League Final in Milan on May 28, 2016.
